The PMI South Florida Chapter has teamed with StockTheMind offer two special courses for people who are not from technical backgrounds, but are responsible for managing projects. No project management experience is necessary.

PM Jumpstart Overview

Participants will explore the basic aspects of taking a project through the PM Life-Cycle based on business concepts as well as those from the world renowned Project Management Institute. Key Learning Objectives:

1. Creating a Project Charter to manage scope
2. Clearly defining a project's scope, objectives and expectations
3. Creating a Work Breakdown Structure
4. Identifying and managing project milestones
5. Creating a project budget
6. Closing out a project
7. Documenting Lessons Learned

MS Project Jumpstart Overview

It's a hands-on application with MS Project software further prepares participants to implement projects though practical exercises. You may take it in conjunction with PM Jumpstart or as a separate session. Key Learning Objectives:

1. Scheduling and controlling projects
2. Documenting tasks, resources and timelines
3. Managing schedule updates
4. Creating status report to communicate progress and results
5. Creating custom reports
