PMI names new credential, Program Management Professional (PgMPSM) PDF Print E-mail
The next step in the PMI tradition…With project management’s growing implementation around the world and across industries, PMI continues its leadership in certifications by creating a new credential for the community of program managers.

The new credential enhances a growing suite of globally applicable certification offerings and complements the Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential as well as the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) credential.

The PgMP credential has been specifically developed to acknowledge the qualifications of professionals who lead the coordinated management of multiple projects and ensure the ultimate success of a program. Candidates that pursue the PgMP credential will be evaluated through a sequence of assessments, including:

  • Application Review by PMI staff and a Panel of Program Managers
  • Multiple-choice Exam
  • Multi-rater Assessment
