Vision Statement
South Florida organizations will embrace, value and utilize project management and attribute their successes to it.

The Project Management Institute (PMI) south Florida Chapter was chartered in 1986 and currently has over 1,100 members. We are only one of over 200 Chapters, serving PMI members and communities around the world. Our vision is to be known throughout South Florida, Latin America and Caribbean communities for promoting professional excellence in project management with continuing support from PMI. Our mission statement is to "advance the acceptance and growth of PM as a discipline and profession".

The Chapter is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We establish opportunities for face-to-face contact with peers from various professional organizations, businesses universities, local governments and industries. We also provide project management career development and instruction in PMI certification. Our activities, meetings, professional and educational programs are designed to strengthen project practitioners in knowledge, awareness and understanding of principles, tools, techniques and ethics. The Chapter serves members and non-members, in vital international sectors and regional business markets in Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Florida Keys.
