As a member of the PMI South Florida Chapter we are asking that you participate in our 2008 Board of Directors Election. You will receive an online ballot that will take only a few minutes of your time, but is very important to the future of your Chapter. The results of the election will be announced at the October Dinner Meetings. By October 15, the election results will also be distributed via email and posted to the Chapter's website. |

It’s hard to believe that summer is nearly over and the kids are back in school! By the way, when does summer end in South Florida anyway? November? The new location for the Miami Dade dinner meeting, the Hotel Intercontinental Miami West, continues to be a great hit based on the feedback from the attendees of the second meeting there this year on August 13th! We had almost 70 people attend and listen to Keith Hopkins, Director of the PMO, RCCL speak on changing the corporate culture by implementing PMO standards and governance. His stories about shipbuilding projects were fascinating. I was happy to see so many new faces. |

New expiration dates will affect all PMPs as PMI is changing all credential holders' expiration dates. Instead of everyone expiring on December 31st of a given year the anniversary date of when they actually earned their credential will now become their expiration date.
